Its the end of July and our baby girl Chylar is about turn 1! I can't believe it!! Maeci has completed Kindergarten with flying colors and is about to go into 1st grade. Camden is turning 3 in September and is sometimes more boy than I can handle. All in all things are really going well for us. Scott is working in Plano at Bank of America and really likes it.THE Queenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10496878230635493268noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9045793893642410114.post-66463650633055539052009-05-25T16:19:00.001-07:002009-05-25T16:26:50.045-07:00Long time since I posted!!!Yes, I am still alive!! Alot has changed in the last two months! Scott got a new job in Dallas so he is gone all week and comes home on the weekends. He is staying with some friends for now and then when school gets out and tball is over, we will join him at our new place.

Maeci just had her birthday yesterday and she is now 5 years old! I can't believe it!! We had a princess party with a wonderful princess cake and lots of presents of course. She is playing tball and loves it!! She is actually pretty good for being the youngest one on her team!! We love to watch her play!!

Camden is 20 months and is acting like a typical 2 year old. He throws fits and screams when he doesn't get his way! He still loves to cuddle with mommy and he actually asks me to rock him!! Of course I can't stand that!! :)

Baby #3 is a girl for those of you who don't know! My due date is fast approaching (Aug) and I am not sure that I am ready for #3 but oh well, right!!? Anyway, just wanted to try to get back on here so people know what's going on with us.

For those of you who are my faithful readers, I'm sorry but I promise to try to do better! It's hard being a single mom during the week and being pregnant! :)THE Queenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10496878230635493268noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9045793893642410114.post-71614823557971481992009-03-24T19:09:00.000-07:002009-03-24T19:24:46.683-07:00Talk RadioYesterday, I was driving home from work as I do everyday listening to Mark Lavigne talk about our wonderful President. I try to be careful what I listen to when the kids are in the car but since Maeci wasn't with me, I had the radio turned up where I could actually here it. Camden was riding in the backseat with his pacifier in his mouth just looking out the window. I was listening very intently when they began playing a clip from Obama. It was about the healthcare system and what he thinks we should do. I, of course, got very irritated and so I said "oh, shut-up." Just as I was rolling my eyes, I hear Camden pop his paci out of his mouth and proceed to say "shut-up" plain as I am typing this right now. I immediately thought "oops, probably shouldn't have said that, even though I meant it." I turned around to look at Camden and he was sitting there just smiling as if he knew what he had said. I am sure it was because he was agreeing with my feelings about our President. I won't go there right now. Too much to say and not enough time!!THE Queenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10496878230635493268noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9045793893642410114.post-28886339011550623962009-03-15T18:44:00.000-07:002009-03-15T19:03:51.043-07:00UpdateWell, I know that I have sucked blogging lately but I figured I should update you on what is going on. I am now 18 weeks pregnant and I am beginning to feel the sickness drift away, thank goodness!!! I am starting to get my energy back a little bit so I can do more than just come home and go to bed. The kids are doing good. Camden is now 18 months and talking up a storm. Maeci is just Maeci. She is getting ready to play T-ball and just finished up basketball. Everything else is going well I suppose. We are getting ready for March Madness and filling out our brackets. Hope all is well with all of you!!THE Queenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10496878230635493268noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9045793893642410114.post-75673583929666728612009-02-22T19:19:00.000-08:002009-02-22T19:31:09.082-08:00One Proud Mama!!Maeci has been playing basketball for a few weeks now and she really seems to enjoy it. She is playing on the kindergarten team with all 5 & 6 year olds. She is the only 4 year old and one of only two girls on the team. Over the course of the last few weeks, she has gotten better and she is beginning to get more aggressive. Saturday morning, we were playing the game and she was bringing the ball down playing the point guard spot. In this age group, the coaches are allowed on the court to help the kids get to where they are supposed to go, so, I was standing out there and I told her to dribble into the lane and shoot the basketball. The lane was open and so she did it. She got down inside the lane and shot the ball. It hit the rim, rolled around, and fell through the net. I got this huge smile on my face and got tears in my eyes. Maeci was so excited that she started jumping up and down smiling. She was the only person on the team who had not made a basket yet. I was soooo proud of her and I just couldn't wipe the smile off my face. She made one more before the game was over but it wasn't quite as exciting as the first one. Hopefully, she continues to get better and love the sport as much as her Mama does!!!!THE Queenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10496878230635493268noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9045793893642410114.post-68692796905460303682009-02-16T19:31:00.000-08:002009-02-16T19:36:54.775-08:00Valentine's Day!!!I know it has been forever since I have blogged but to be totally honest, I have been to exhausted to even get on teh computer. I am going to try to do better. We shall see, right?!? Anyway, on Saturday, Scott suprised me with a date to our fav place to eat in Dallas. We went to Three Forks and thoroughly enjoyed having a quiet dinner with no kids. We had the famous salad, steak, and chocolate mousse for dessert. It was fantastic!! They also gave out $25 gift cards for another visit as well. Anyway, we had a great time and it was our first date alone in like 4 months. Just wonderful to go out with no children and have some peace and quiet!!! We should all do it a little more often!!THE Queenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10496878230635493268noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9045793893642410114.post-49934003343786865752009-01-28T06:04:00.000-08:002009-01-28T06:15:48.705-08:00The kiddos! This week has been so much better! Nothing out of the ordinary and thats the way I like it. Camden had his well care check up on Monday and is just growing out of control. He is now 29lbs. 34 1/2 in long and is in the 95% on everything. He is really starting to try to talk and verbalize things. He is also starting to throw fits which at times is quite amusing and at other times just flat out irritates me. The next time he does it, I am going to try to get it on camera so that I can share with all of you and of course keep it until graduation day!!!

Anyhow, Maeci is playing basketball and she loves it!! That makes me so happy! She is the only 4 year old on a team of 5 year old boys and 1 other girl. She really likes it and my team is doing very well. We don't keep score but you know that I keep score in my mind and we have won both of our games. So, if you are bored on a Saturday and you want to be entertained, you need to come and watch these cute little kids play basketball. It really is one of the cutest things that I have ever seen!!

As for the 3rd, I am going back to the Dr. tomorrow for a check-up. I am 11 weeks and starting to feel a bit better I think. My energy is beginning to come back and the sickness is starting to slow down a bit. Thank goodness for that!! Hopefully everything goes well tomorrow. I am sure that it will. The countdown is on...only 9 weeks until we find out what baby #3 is!!THE Queenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10496878230635493268noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9045793893642410114.post-40282334701738920932009-01-22T17:37:00.000-08:002009-01-22T17:53:38.199-08:00Insanity at its worst!!!Oh my goodness, I have never been so exhausted in my life!!! With baby #3 on the way and my iron being pretty low, that already makes for a tough time but this week has been awful. Last Saturday, we had our 1st Upwards basketball game and my little kindergarteners totally surprised me by winning our first game. It was soo fun coaching them. Saturday night, Camden threw up in his bed and so of course we were up half of the night with him. Sunday we didn't go to church and I spent the whole day doing throw up laundry. Monday he had fever and nasty diapers so I spent another exhausting day doing laundry. Tuesday at work was terrible. I had to call 3 parents to come and deal with their misbehaving children that I wanted to spank myself. Wednesday work was much better and I thought that the week was on the downhill slope, when after church Maeci informed me that her tummy hurt. Before I even had a chance to pull over, she proceded to throw up in my car. I really felt sorry for her because she had to sit in it until we got home. We got home, got her bathed and taken care of, then came the exhausting task of taking her car seat apart and cleaning it as well as the rest of my car. After 20 minutes, I took her car seat to the neighbors house and used their water hose to spray it down. I got my car cleaned out and the ran all of the stuff through the laundry again. We stayed home today and of course, Maeci was fine. I on the other hand, am still recovering. I am exhausted and have no energy at all. I sure hope this wears off soon because if it doesn't, its going to be a really long pregnancy for me and my family!!!THE Queenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10496878230635493268noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9045793893642410114.post-73327919156658764152009-01-11T06:21:00.000-08:002009-01-11T06:44:45.722-08:00Craziness!!This past week and a half has been absolutely crazy. Both kids have been sick with ear infections and fever and I have been sick as well. My reason for being sick makes me sicker sometimes but we are having our 3rd and last child. I said that I might want another baby but not for a couple of years. I guess that God saw things otherwise and therefore, we are having our 3rd sooner than I expected. I guess that I will be following in Joanna's footsteps and having them be 23 months apart. I would have liked to have them be farther but oh well I guess. Anyway, I have been sick but now I got some medicine and seem to be better on most days. I am due Aug. 20 but I am sure it will be before that when the baby comes. Between work and church and coaching basketball for the Upwards league, I have been so exhausted I haven't had the time or energy to blog about anything. Sorry but hopefully, it won't be as long between blogs next time.THE Queenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10496878230635493268noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9045793893642410114.post-56992719855488192252008-12-27T18:23:00.000-08:002008-12-27T19:03:58.314-08:00Christmas Day
We all had a great time on Christmas day. I was exhausted by the end of the day but it sure was fun. The kids got their non-working Hummer but seemed to be okay with the fact that we had to order the battery. I had some other pictures but for some reason this is the only one that loaded. I will try the others later i guess. Anyway, they were sitting in their Hummer and Camden was in the drivers seat. Not sure why Maeci is letting him do that but at least they are not fighting. They both got new clothes and of course that is what they have on. Scott and I got the things that we wanted just like most years. We are so spoiled by our families that it is just pitiful but we enjoy spoiling them just the same. We got too much like normal but we did have a birthday cake for Jesus and we sang Happy Birthday to him. We read the Christmas story and drank our Wassail. Overall it was a great Christmas. I am looking forward to next Christmas already. Its my favorite holiday and I am always ready when it comes around again!!!THE Queenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10496878230635493268noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9045793893642410114.post-19216090813176496532008-12-24T16:28:00.000-08:002008-12-24T20:38:00.605-08:00Christmas Eve Disaster :(I thought that I had Christmas all taken care of but there always has to be something that goes wrong. The kids got a Hummer ride on from Santa this year. We got all of the pieces out and charged up the battery overnight so that the kids could take it for a spin in the morning. After charging the battery, we turned it on only to find that the Hummer didn't work. The battery wouldn't hold a charge. We tried to find a replacement battery at 5 different Wal-Marts. We finally found one Wal-Mart that had them. My dad and Scott raced 35 minutes away to get it only to find that it wasn't the right one to fit the Hummer. We tried differents chargers and everything. So, tonight at 10pm, I finally resigned myself to the fact that the kids were getting a great Christmas present from Santa that they were going to have to wait to use. That makes me feel terrible but what else am I going to do. Besides, they got enough stuff to keep them busy for like the next couple of years!!THE Queenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10496878230635493268noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9045793893642410114.post-27208331917688776052008-12-22T17:55:00.000-08:002008-12-22T18:18:12.223-08:002 Days to Go!!!Maeci keeps reminding me how many days until Christmas. Its almost here!! This morning on the way to work, this is the conversation that we had....

Maeci-Mommy, its ok that Santa didn't wrap my presents last year but I really want him to wrap them this year. Can we call him and tell him that??

Me--Well, sure we can...(I was thinking, who is home at 7:45am??)

Maeci-Let's call him now!

Me--Ok, (as I am dialing my mom's house trying to figure out how this is going to work)

I got my mom on the phone and acted like she was Mrs. Claus. I talked to her because Santa was busy and she takes care of all of the wrapping. Very good save because Maeci didn't ask a thing!! Good for me that I still have some ability to think fast on my feet!!THE Queenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10496878230635493268noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9045793893642410114.post-82263473994721495042008-12-21T18:14:00.000-08:002008-12-21T18:25:09.878-08:00Sugar, Sugar, and more Sugar!!!Today we were at Scott's parents house for our usual Sunday lunch and Sharon was baking some cookies. When she finished, she let all of the kids decorate some sugar cookies. Of course, they were loaded up with icing of all colors and sugar sprinkles. The kids had a great time and Maeci ate 3 of her cookies. When she finished, she snuck some of my hot chocolate and some more of another kind of cookie that Sharon had made. Once, I realized what she had consumed as far as sugar, I put my foot down and told her absolutely no more cookies. On the way home, this is the conversation that we had.....

Maeci-Mommy, can I have some Starbursts?
Me--No, baby, you have had plenty of sugar today.
Maeci-Mommy, I think that the sugar has gone down to my feet.
Me--Really???
Maeci-Yes, it needs to go all the way to my head!!!

I thought that was funny and pretty intelligent of her. She was trying so hard to get the Starburst!! Oh, she is a mess!~~THE Queenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10496878230635493268noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9045793893642410114.post-55061078963344845872008-12-19T18:02:00.000-08:002008-12-19T18:10:59.737-08:00Shopping...Well, its December 19th and I am officially done with my Christmas shopping!! I tried to get done before now but due to the weather and working, that did not happen. I got all of the presents wrapped and under the tree except for a box that I am waiting for. It should be here tomorrow. So, tomorrow I will nothing else to do as far as Christmas presents. Scott, on the other hand, is starting his tomorrow. His brother, dad, and himself are going to brave the crowds at the mall to get their shopping done. Glad it is them and not me!!!THE Queenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10496878230635493268noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9045793893642410114.post-12922005566705302332008-12-14T18:33:00.001-08:002008-12-14T18:51:19.184-08:00

Well, last weekend we went to the Neiman Marcus Parade and it was so much fun. We took a whole bunch of family and friends and met up with the Gibbs! It was such a good time and of course, the kids had a blast. When we came home that evening, we had our Sunday school Christmas party and the parade here in Fairfield. We had fun for the most part. The parade here left much to be desired but what do you expect from a small town. No offense to people from small towns!! :) Here are some pictures from the parade! We really did have a great time!!

THE Queenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10496878230635493268noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9045793893642410114.post-83984881405472874562008-12-08T18:30:00.000-08:002008-12-08T18:52:38.928-08:00

Well, here is a picture of Scott's deer for those of you that were interested. Anyway, I attempted to take the kids pictures for our Christmas cards. I took like 15 and got one good one. I attached the good one and a couple of other ones that I got. As you can see both kids were tired by the time we got done and so was I. I guess I should be glad that I at least got one good one of my babies!!THE Queenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10496878230635493268noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9045793893642410114.post-34390462385876307122008-12-02T19:04:00.000-08:002008-12-02T19:14:19.385-08:00Whirlwind Week!Well, here it is Tuesday night and I am just getting around to blogging. We had a very long trip to my grandma's house but as usual it was alright. I was sick with a virus on Thanksgiving day which was totally jacked up. I have to admit that I was very upset because I waited all year long to eat some of my grandma's dressing, and I ate like 2 bites. Big huge bummer!! Every year when we are there, we always try to go hunting on my great grandma's land. Sometimes we get around to it and sometimes we don't. This year we did and Scott got his very first deer ever! I think he had a good time doing it but I was sleeping in my warm bed, so it was great for me!!!:) We played my cousin's XBox and I attempted to play Guitar Hero. Although, I wasn't very good, I sure had fun trying!! We got home late Thursday night and spent the rest of the weekend at Scott's parents house. All-in-all, it ws a good Thanksgiving, except for me being sick. That pretty much sucked but oh, well, we still have Christmas!THE Queenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10496878230635493268noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9045793893642410114.post-628802194788839242008-11-24T07:24:00.000-08:002008-11-24T08:09:42.221-08:00Thanksgiving BreakI know that it has been a while since I have blogged but it has been crazy. Scott finally got home from North Dakota late Thursday night only to inform me that he will probably have to go back in a couple of weeks. I was so tired most nights that I went to bed at like 9:30. I felt like an old lady but I couldn't help it. Anyway, we are leaving today to go to my grandma's house up by Amarillo. We will be there until late Thanksgiving evening and then we will be coming home. I will have pictures from there I am sure. Both of the kids are well but again my allergies are killing me and I have a sinus infection. I am sure that I picked it up from the daycare but at least my babies don't have it. Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving and we will see you later!!!THE Queenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10496878230635493268noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9045793893642410114.post-77926773031932092002008-11-15T18:07:00.000-08:002008-11-15T18:53:51.802-08:00Super busy Weekend!!Well, I know that I have not posted in over a week, let me catch you up....
Maeci and I both had the stomach virus for like 4 hours each, Scott found out he had to go to North Dakota for work this next week, we slept alot from being sick and then didn't sleep at all when Maeci was sick. That about catches us up until Thursday.....Ok, now, a couple of weeks ago, my parents had purchased tickets to take Maeci to the Backyardigans Live in Grand Prairie today. Well, my Dad ended up having a semi-emergent neck surgery and so he asked Scott and I to take her. We said "yes" and were secretly excited as the Backyardigans is probably our favorite cartoon that the kids watch. So, we were all ready to go and then, Scott finds out that he has to be in North Dakota on Monday. He has to drive so he had to leave today with another guy that he works with. Of course, I got the fun job of taking both kids to the Backyardigans by myself. I was actually kind of dreading it not because I didn't want to take her but because I was going to take her and be wrestling Camden as well. Much to my excitement, the total opposite happened. Both kids were absolutely perfect!! No acting crazy, no fits, no throwing cups (Camden Wesley), and all potty breaks were taken at the appropriate times. I could not believe it!! Of course, I bribed her with whatever she wanted, so after cotton candy, popcorn, a Backyardigans light up wand, and a t-shirt for each child, we were off to our seats. The show was great!! I would do it again in a heartbeat. If you have never been to the Nokia Theater, you should go. Anyway, we had a great time and I really enjoyed it alot!THE Queenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10496878230635493268noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9045793893642410114.post-52206718245940690332008-11-06T04:06:00.000-08:002008-11-06T17:47:10.055-08:00Camden

This past weekend I got a cute video of Camden while he was playing. I will first say that I am extremely disappointed in the election this year. I feel like the best candidate did not win but it doesn't really matter since I did vote and my guy/girl didn't win. Now, my feelings about Obama are not about him as a person, just about his opinions and policies. I think some of his ideas are ridiculous and will never work but I also think that maybe with some help, a few of his ideas might be okay. My main worry is about our country and its enemies. We have a lot of people that don't like us and for us to vote in someone who really has no idea how to run our military is very scary. I am sure the Mr. Obama has a great learning curve with his education and all but I hope that he is very careful about how he handles our foreign affairs. I know that some of you reading probably voted for him and while I don't agree, that is my opinion. I will not however be disrespectful to a man who just basically became the new President of the United States. I will give him a chance (ok, I will try to) and I hope that he proves me wrong on some of the things that I say he will never be able to do. I know that all-in-all, God is in control and since I pray everyday, I really don't have anything to worry about. So, Obama has my prayers that he is able to make the right choices that will benefit the most people in our country and I truly hope that he is able to help get the market back the way it should be, because if he doesn't, we will really be in a world of hurt and the next president will be inheriting a mess a million times worse than Obama.THE Queenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10496878230635493268noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9045793893642410114.post-85062714221483009842008-11-05T07:13:00.000-08:002008-11-05T07:25:46.249-08:00

Here are some of the pictures from Halloween. The kids had a great time!! I planned a fall festival like party for the daycare that I work at and we went to that before we went trick-or-treating. That is where the kids are in these pictures. Camden, of course, has not interest in the games, just playing in the water fountain. I used to think that people who said boys were just so different were just weird, but now that I have one, he is wired totally different than Maeci. He has eaten more dirt and rocks in his 13 months than she has in her 4 1/2 years! :) Anyway, it was very fun for us and for the kids. The little girls in the top picture are some of Maeci's friends from the daycare and they were playing musical chairs. They had way too much candy but they definitely enjoyed themselves!!

THE Queenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10496878230635493268noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9045793893642410114.post-52846612342391081302008-10-29T20:06:00.000-07:002008-10-29T20:19:49.709-07:00Smart CookieLately, Maeci has been asking me all kinds of random questions about things that I had no idea she knew. Yesterday, she asked me if the Earth was the only world. I cringed at trying to answer that one. I looked up some things about the planets and the universe and tried to explain to her the best that I could. She seemed like she understood and now of course, she wants to talk about planets, read about planets, and even use balls to demonstrate to Scott just how the planets really work in our universe (which is quite humerous even though she is exactly right!!) Then today we were talking about, what else but the planets, and she asked me if there was electricity on Jupiter. I told her I didn't think so but I wasn't sure. This was the conversation that ensued....

Maeci--Why doesn't Jupiter have electricity like we do??
Me--I am not sure, Jesus just didn't make it that way (typical good church answer when you don't know what else to say:)
Maeci--Does Jupiter have trains?
Me--No
Maeci--Well, if Jupiter had trains, then the trains could take to coal to the power plants and then they could make electricity, right.?
Mommy--Yes, I think that they could
Maeci--How do they make the electricity??
Mommy--Honestly, I don't know
Maeci--Do they glue it together and then put some different colors on it??
Mommy--(I just cracked up and told her she was sooo cute and sooo smart!)

Sometimes that girl is too smart for her own good. I know every parent wants their child to be smart and I am so glad that she is. She is a little genius and sometimes it makes me wonder if she isn't already smarter than...Scott!! :)THE Queenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10496878230635493268noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9045793893642410114.post-89292967571213429762008-10-27T18:59:00.000-07:002008-10-27T19:10:32.662-07:00Finally!!

I have some good news to report....Camden is finally walking!! He is 13 months old and I wondered if he would ever walk. I would try to stand him up and he would just let his legs dangle and fuss at me. I finally just decided that he was going to bear crawl forever but he started walking a couple of days ago. He was outside standing by his car and I looked up and he was walking to Maeci's bike. He looks like a little penguin and it is hysterical!! I took him in to the dr. today for his 12 month check-up and of course, everything is progressing just the way it should. He is 80% for his weight...a whopping 27lbs and 90% for his length which was 33 3/4in. He has been off the bottle now for about 3 months and since he is walking (just in time)we got a great report!!
