Let the Fantasy Begin!!

Last night, we had our Fantasy Football draft online and after some serious internet issues, we finally got to pick almost all of the players on our team. I am really not sure that I will have anything to cheer about but time will tell. Since, I am the reigning champion of the 12 team, mostly male league, (sorry, but I had to put that in there!!) I hope that my team at least shows up and makes the playoffs. I have to at least beat Scott, you know, just for bragging rights!! The name of my team is Bradylicious, long story there, but I though the name was great!! Wish me luck and don't worry, I will keep you posted!!

Four-year old randomness...

Maeci is always coming up with these random words that she uses in place of other ones. This morning she did it several times and it was hilarious. I thought that it definitely deserved its own post! We were on our way to town this morning and Maeci asked me where we were going. I told her we were going to Fairfield. She said to me "good, because if I stayed home, I would be a home-alot-a-gus!! I was like "what is that?" She said that is Chinese for a couch potato! I almost drove off the road laughing at her. Then later on this afternoon, her and Noah (my nephew) were playing and wanted to go outside. Noah asked her if she wanted to go outside and swing. Maeci stated the following (with that little attitude and hands on her hips!!)...."No, I don't want to go outside because if we do, the Tannybocus will get us!! What in the heck is that?? I still don't know. Anyone have any ideas?? (This is not the time for you city folk to make fun of the newly transplanted country folk!!)

Bye Bye Baby...

Well, its bye bye baby food!! Even though it makes me sad because this means my baby is growing out of the baby stage...I am sooo glad to not have to buy baby food anymore. I hate buying baby food. It's such a hassle to buy all of that and I am certainly not domestic enough to make it. I am glad that this phase is over but now its on to "let me do it myself" phase and I don't know that I am ready to have 2 kids that are that way.

I was folding laundry and the kids were watching WordWorld. This is one of their favorite shows and Camden always screams at the TV when it is on. I had to video them and put it on here because it is just so cute. Camden is really starting to respond to his sister and the fighting has yet to begin between the two of them. I figure I better get it on tape while I can because soon enough the playing together will be few and far between.

I want to be a rockstar...

Good morning everyone! Today is one of those days that I woke up early and now I have managed to get most of my work done already and its only like 9 am. Camden was being such a good boy while I was working. He loves to sit and play with toys, especially if they are Maeci's. I have attached a video of him playing (or trying to) Maeci's guitar. It's so cute!! Scott says that we are getting him one for his birthday so he won't have to play with Maeci's pink one. I actually think it's kind of cute, at least for now. Maybe later on when he's a famous guitarist, he will look back and appreciate the hot pink guitar video! (Probably not, but its really cute anyway!)

Go for the Gold!!

I love it when the Olympics come around. When they are on, that is all I watch. I love to watch all of the sports but especially swimming and gymnastics. It just amazes me what these people do to their bodies and how much they have to give up at such a young age to be a part of the Olympics. Last night as I watched the women's gymnastics, I thought to myself, "these girls are like 15 years old." My biggest concern when I was 15 was checking out the boy next door and playing sports. These kids train everyday for several hours. I like their dedication and hard work. I am sure that they would love to know that their training, hard work, dedication, and sweat, was providing me numerous hours of entertainment. If you don't watch the Olympics, you should because you will not see a greater group of dedicated and passionate athletes. If you disagree, look at the pictures of the USA men's relay swimming team when the came from behind to beat the trash-talking France team. Not only did they surprise the world but the broke the past world record by 4 SECONDS!! They won the gold made the team from France eat their words. That is what the Olympics are all about!!

DG at work!!

Most of you that know me, know that I love parties. I am always looking for ways to do things and try to be creative. Most of the time, it never works. I always see cute little crafty things that people do and I think "man, that is so cute, why couldn't I do something like that?" Of course, I never try it. Well, after having both of my babies, I decided to start making some of their stuff, like scrapbooks, Maeci's hairbow's, etc. The scrapbook thing lasted about 2 weeks, when I realized that I had to buy all of the little things and keep them all separate. That was way too much work for just one page at a time. Maeci's hairbows lasted about 5 minutes when I burned myself with the hot glue gun and then my bow didn't even hold. I gave all of that up. A few days ago, I decided to open my craft book and maybe make another go of something. I found these cute little paint buckets that had been glued and papered to make this hodge podge of cute and craftiness. I decided I was going to try it. I purchased all of the things that I needed minus the few pages of paper, which my sis-in-law so nicely picked up for me at the craft store. (Thanks Jodi!) I got home and within 2 hours I was finished with the first one. It didn't turn out too bad if I say so myself!! I was quite impressed. I made another one the next day to take to a baby shower and lo and behold, if Scott didn't think that I bought them somewhere. He was VERY surprised when I told him that I had made them. I even had to get the scraps of paper and ribbon out so that he would believe me!! (Thanks for the vote of confidence babe!!) I took them to the baby shower and got so many compliments that I decided to add them to the blog! Here are the pictures of them! Also, I made the basket too. Actually, I added ribbon to the basket and made the bows. I hot glued the bows on, this time without burning myself. I really making all of the little crafts and when I was finished, I thought to myself, "If this is not Domestic Goddess-like, I don't know what is.

Days of Glory

Sorry I am just now getting back to blogging. It has been one crazy week! On Saturday night, we went to our friend Neal (Gibbs') birthday party. It was so much fun!! We ate hamburgers, hotdogs, dip, fruit, and of course, cake. We never have a get together without cake!! After we had eaten, we went swimming for a while. That was nice and relaxing...if you think being in a pool with about 10 kids is relaxing, but it was a great time!! Once we got the kids settled, the guys pulled out the karaoke machine!! Most of you know that I love having a good time but the karaoke machine was too much! Jodi, Lori, & I got up there and sang "Hit me with your best shot," it was hilarious!! After some of the other people sang, Lori & I took our turn and sang "Don't Cha!" I was laughing so hard, I couldn't hardly sing. The best part was when I tricked Jodi into getting up there and singing a "song of my choice." I put on Fergie's Fergalicious...that was the most hilarious thing I have ever seen in my life. If you don't understand, just read the lyrics and you will! We got some of it on video but I cannot share because I don't want my singing to be the next best thing on Youtube!! Thanks for a great time and some great memories!!!
